Anyone familiar with these ..Alfa Romeo Brera ..this particular one has 109000 on the clock and is a cat n …not sure what that constitutes i don’t think it’s structural ….i like these think there a lovely shape and wouldn’t mind a punt at the right price ,but do have that Alfa bad name which is keep breaking down and not cheap to fix me thinks …

Anyone had one or any Alfa .? View attachment 532504

I've had a couple of 156s so similar era, the JTDM engine was well regarded on the forums, I'd say as reliable as it's contemporaries from BMW and the like.

Tried the carbon cleaner on the mower today. Sprayed some into the air intake and started the mower. It started and ran fine until I tried it at different rpm. It ran fine going from high to low RPM but upon trying to climb back to high RPM it stalled. It then wouldn't restart and ran lumpy again. After a couple attempts I got it running smoothly again so sprayed some cleaner in 3 more times while it was running. Each time it spluttered a little and kicked out a small puff of black smoke. It now seems to run perfectly, tried it across all RPM and seems good and tried it under load by cutting some grass and it didn't stall. So fingers crossed its alright. 🤞

Looks like something was gummed up in the carby then, hopefully be OK now. David

I like your ideas but that ain’t gonna cut it I’m afraid …..I’ve put cars in front of relationships in the past and it creates a whole new meaning to pissing someone off .
just buy it bring it home just before leaving for work on monday morning when you get home friday all is forgotten. if i bought that home i would loose it as the wife would claim it as she has with cars before.

Cut half the grass today. Decided I'd had enough. Will do the rest another day...reminded myself how much I hate cutting grass. Usually do it all in an afternoon, but couldn't be bothered with it.

Unlike next door, who has about a quarter of the ground we have...it takes him 4 days. But then, he's a total gimboid.
I bought a ride on a year ago. Brilliant. Headphones on, can't be disturbed, blasting around the garden as fast as I can in my own satisfying little world.

If anyone wants a project we've got an old Atco ride on we no longer need. Needs a new cutting deck welding up, 4 new tyres and some electrical gremlins sorting.

Also we agreed to store an old canoe for a family friend who used to take it out on the local canals. Unfortunately it seems to have been utilised as a nest for some grey squirrels.

The Lone Ranger got a new exhaust today. Local suppliers wanted almost $300 for just a basic muffler and not in stock to boot. Delivery by this Friday if I'm lucky. I ordered a cat-back system with SS Walker muffler, forward pipe, tail pipe, hangers, and all the hardware from Rockauto just yesterday afternoon and it arrived today. Total price: $400 to my doorstep, and that was with $160 of fast shipping. I try to "support local" but if they're going to bend me over then they can stick it. Good luck staying in business boys!

The truck is much quieter now. I took the opportunity to load the box up with some scrap metal destined for the recyclers too. The yard is a tad less cluttered now so Mrs. SeriesG should be happier. 😁
