    Several weeks ago I noticed the fuel gauge on my Freelander MK 2 2007 plate would suddenly while driving cut out and return to zero even with fuel in my tank. Just as abruptly the gauge would return to normal, after an hour or so driving the vehicle. This problem left me with a real headache...

    I've removed the fuel tank on my 110 to clean it out and seal it with a Por15 fuel tank repair kit. The sender unit was highly suspect, but I rendered it junk when trying to undo the seized union on the pick-up pipe, it snapped the plastic stub pipe off the sender unit. Is there a special...

    whining noise, not from me but my fuel sender unit?

    I have a 2001 90 CSW and there's a constant whining noise from the rear. There is a plate, courtesy of the last owner, over the fuel sender unit and if I unplug this - no noise! So I'm guessing it's this! Obviously no fuel gauge and the fuel warning light stays on without the sender unit...
