a request for TD owners

could somebody be kind enough to take a photo of the top of their injector pump please? i think my enigne's previous owner tried to fiddle with all the levers on top and hence it has a high tickover, but runs rough at lower tickovers

cheers.

I'll try and remember to take one later when the TD is here ... meanwhile I don't know if these are any use ... a couple I took of my 12J (N/A) ages ago.

Cheers, TD ones would be great so i can check 100%

i'm pretty sure that the throttle levers have been adjusted, in accordance with the restrictor in the turbo pipe to gain sometihng, either economy of power.

ok.

you see front adjuster, has a simple lever and bolt with lock nut, on bernie's its only got roughly 2-3mm clearance between the lever and the round upright. mine runs like a bag of nails if its as close as that, if i increase the gap it gets better and runs smoother, but at higher rpm.

help!!!!

Hi Rusty, here are a few pics of the top of my injector on a 200 Tdi if this is any help.

Cheers

thats the idle adjuster,

i think the problem might be somewhere, else in the feul system rather than the idle rpm

only my thoughts

Here are a couple of pics of my TD ... apologies for poor quality, I was groping around in the dark ... :D

done that as accurately as we can and it seems ok. doesn't puff black when you floor it though. it barely uses a drop of oil consdiering its only just had new pistons etc
