Luckily she’s not volunteering me for moving things as my vans racked out but mainly as it’s fooked and off the road and I can’t carry things in the landy as it won’t make it there in one piece 😂😂😂
Don’t you just love a volunteering wife I have one of those mainly because I have a van …oh Paul will do it he has a van ,oh really yes he will 😏

Amazon. Digital about £12. I cut open the old unit. Could not reuse so bought new casing and battery. Followed you tube video. Soldering iron set at 400. All now back together and working.
Thanks, @Kernite I think I'll need a replacement case too. The old one is pretty f*c!'d and I hadn't thought about looking for a replacement.

Went to the LRM Malvern 4x4 Spares Day yesterday, and acquired a replacement (used) pair of long nose pliers (godz knows where the originals have gone!) and a centre punch, which I've been meaning to get for ages.
Total outlay 3 GBP - bargain!

Yesterday picked up an old trailer from a friend. He bought it for tip runs and things. He's used and abused it then the neck snapped. Now it's mine. Needs neck welding back on and made a bit more meaty. Replace the rear lenses, two new tyres and jobs a good un for more abuse.

godz knows where the originals have gone!
Couple of years ago I lost two sets of pliers in the space of a month. Neither pair has turned up yet. I think I left a set on my rear crossmember before I had it replaced so either the welder found them or they bounced off on the journey down. Who knows where the other set went.

bought a diesel injector seat cutter from amazon as i'm planning to fit new copper washers just so i know they been done,
also got some prosport gauges in the cart cos i have a very strong desire to know i got oil pressure but not pressed buy now yet so shouldn't have posted this bit!

Galvanised chassis and Bulkhead. I've been dithering on the garage clear-out and Defender rebuild so I've placed the order - bit of a motivator to get it all sorted! I'll ring them Monday and see if they can hold off until after the 17th to give me some wriggle room time wise.

Tad excited I must admit!
