....and today you have purchased???

Totally read that as balaclava and was about to raise an eyebrow.

Bought some tools from my friend to help her clear out her husband's workshop after he passed. He was a huge influence on me in my 20's. Told me everything I've ever known from a theoretical stand point with welding. He taught me how to keep tropical fish. When times were hard he employed me as his labourer and taught me how to stone wall. Fast forward in life and didn't keep in touch as well as we should however our hobbies went the same direction. I've bought.

100litre air compressor
Die grinder
Rotary multi tool
Vertical belt sander
Multi belt sander
Mini Forge
Various axes and hammers
Loose spanners and tools
Bench grinder
Gloves
Leaf blower

All things I've wanted or needed for a while but couldn't justify new and didn't want to risk second hand. I know everyone of those has been worked hard but very much looked after and loved. I'll use them all and hopefully get Dad's Xmas pressies finished in the forge in time.

Yet more broken stereos for fixing and fiddling with
Three alpine double din units with smashed screens…probably not much more than scrap but if i can make just one work or save another with parts from these ….yipee…either way its good fun and indoor work 8-)
Also bought a new screen and lid for a broken laptop…..repaired it and its working nicely..

New wheel bearings for the trailer, which led to getting wheels balanced (tyres from 2006 but good quality and no cracking), which led to new bolts required to fix the axle to springs, which is leading to wire brushing hubs and axle, which will lead to using the rest of Big Sandy's favourite (not) metal treatment paint as I have some old stuff on the shelf. Mission creep extraordinaire on a trailer built the same year as my Landy with even less maintenance over it's history. To be fair it had a total strip and galvanise about 25 years ago. :)

We got it because there was a baby on the way and she needed something that would take a pram and a dog. After some dithering she said "let's just get the biggest cheapest car we can" and frankly it has been an excellent purchase. Perhaps as little as £100 a year on maintenance and she simply doesn't care when she gets hedge rash on country roads.

In fact, my driving a company car and her bulletproof X-Trail was part of what made me buy the Land Rover, I used to love working on cars and hers would perhaps offer me two hours a year 😂
