....and today you have purchased???

We got it because there was a baby on the way and she needed something that would take a pram and a dog. After some dithering she said "let's just get the biggest cheapest car we can" and frankly it has been an excellent purchase. Perhaps as little as £100 a year on maintenance and she simply doesn't care when she gets hedge rash on country roads.

In fact, my driving a company car and her bulletproof X-Trail was part of what made me buy the Land Rover, I used to love working on cars and hers would perhaps offer me two hours a year 😂
It makes sense doesn’t it .nice to have a car that doesn’t need tinkering ever 2 weeks ..the one we have is fully loaded ,leather heated seats ,air con etc .the only thing I don’t like is it’s an auto ..I’m not a lover of auto boxes in anything .

Our X-trail gets a good 35mpg on average. Parents owned 5 in a row from 2001 to present day with newest being a 2013. Such a good vehicle and I'd say a strong rival to the Freelander. I turned up for my roll frame for my 90 in our X-trail. People at the store said it wouldn't fit. I folded the seats down and had bags of space spare. 🤣

A new battery for the van. Well, I say I bought one, I actually haven't bought it yet, it will be delivered to the garage on account on Monday.

This one has only lasted 5 years...it shows 12.6v ( so about 90% charged?) when not under load, but won't turn the engine over, just a click. Hey ho. Must have a dead cell.

A full set of core plugs, £20 delivered which isn't bad. Besides, they were the only supplier I could find 🙃

Yet another broken Alpine double din tv screen type head unit.
Must have about 10 or 12 of these now. Most are repaired and ready for a new home.
They are really rewarding to fix.
Comes in with smashed screen.
Bit of work with jewellers screwdrivers and some new parts and hey presto it works again
Lovely sound of them too.
I can probably update the satnav maps on this to the latest 2024 H2 maps while Im at it as well.
Dang these are fun when its too f******* cold outside to go fix landrovers in the street
