Shifting Up
hello, im new to this forum, i've just started modifying my 90 tdi 300, i've bought a big allard intercooler, can any body recommend which is the best airfilter to buy, i've looked at the allard website, they seem the cheapest. but which is the best to buy? thanks for the advice

i've just fitted a itg filter in my 300 and at first didn't notice the difference, but now, it hasa bit more humph from low revs up, and sounds more throaty if ya get me drift...i only got this thru a mate otherwise like youwould'nt know which is best....GOOD LUCK and wilkommen

Wonder who that was then ;)

I personnally like ITG over K&N.... very easy to clean and last very well. I run one on my own 300Tdi 90.

I can supply one if needed?

Get one with a removable foam cover element as they save a lot of crap on the main filter and you can wash them in soapy water, demon tweeks is a good place to go, very helpful..........keith

Agree with Ian. I have had both and I like the ITG much better. They both seem to give the same performance feel, the thing the itg has over the k&n is that it is much much easier to clean and re-oil!

Oh and I won my ITG filter! :D

Ian....you said i get 2 stickers, i only got the 1:D ...the other was a warning about cleaning it...the other is now on display on me snorkel to warn the chav's...what did you do to me knob to stop it from moving allover the shop..:D ..this new box as loads of play in the lever when in gear..

So two stickers then!! - I didn't say both of them were ITG ones!!!:D
Can get another one if wanted.

I just adjusted your nuts!! :D
It's the weight of your knob that causes the problem!

Just so everyone doesn't get the wrong idea, we are talking about Gear Knobs and the adjustment spring.

No problems.... just follow the instructions I sent you via email and you'll be well away!!!

I like scaring the Chav's too.... even better when you go round them on a island... drifting a 90 is quite a bit of fun!! :D

Hams hall pimp :D :D

You know it then....

I go around that everyday...
Great fun out braking and passing a Corsa cause the 17 nerd has been giving it 'the biggun' and can't even get away from a Diesel Land Rover.

My 'proper' Mini Cooper was even better - coming from Coleshill you didn't even have to brake... till the one day I didn't see the police man parked up at the side of the road

Apparently I was driving a little 'briskly'!!! ;) lol....
He actually said I wasn't driving dangerously.... but just told me to slow down!! (it was 11.30pm and no other cars around).

Sorry Dave.... have gone completely Off Topic on your post. :BigSorry:

hahahah you sound as bad as me!! I've had a warning already of the police in sussex for 4 wheel drift around a roundabout, that was before i took 2 inches of free play out of the throttle cable.........
the lightweight was fun when it workd, out drag most things in a straightline :D then slide it in to bends, good fun in liverpool city centre.........
