BIG Intercooler from Straight Forward Supplies

Right here we go people, Eva's getting some more Uuuuummmpffffff!

As some of you will know I had my birthday last weekend and my BIG present was a full sized intercooler from Straight Forward Supplies (Aka Horseclub on Ebay).

I have yet to fit the behemoth so instead I thought I would post some pics of what it looks like outside of a vehicle. I have to say that I love a product that is well made and this beast is gorgeous, rugged looking and solid.

Plus, contrary to what I said in a previous thread (my bad) it does contain the splitter between the inlets to divert the air around the whole intercooler and like I said it is very very well made!

Now to the fitting, watch this space...

Thats PeteH's best friend that, Barney loves him!!!!

Oh yeah! not hugely but a little tweak to up the power would be nice. Also have a disco transfer box in the garage at home waiting to go on too.

Can highly recomend Tim @ SFS, great guy and knows his stuff too!

I find that Mr Muscle wax polish spray and a cat fur buffer works wonders on wooden surfaces!!!!

Ooh err I just followed the link, and the author is talking about getting 200 bhp from his engine with the tweak. Does this apply to Tdi engines? Can they really handle 200 bhp without ending up like my old 19Js?

Howdy folks! Right I have finally got out dodged a few showers and taken some pics for you all to see.

This is the new intercooler (from Straight Forward Supplies), it is near as dammit 3 times bigger than the original item.

I am still getting such a grin everytime I dump the gas pedal, is like having a TD5s power but without the computer time lag. 4th gear is a fantastic gear now, great acceleration from 30mph all the way to 60mph. Eva now just runs out of gears, roll on disco transfer box!!!

Plus after a +200 mile round trip the other day I was getting about 20 miles more out of a tank of gas than I did before!! Will have to see if that was a fluke or an added bonus!
