Billing or Kelmarsh?

Accelerating Away
Hi everyone
jusk a quick question, where are you going, Kelmarsh or Billing this year?

I've gone to Billing for the past eight or nine years, the last few with my V8 101" and have throughly enjoyed myself apart from the terrible bogs and general overcrowding in the camping fields. I love the fact that all the traders go there but LRe and LRM having their shows on the same weekend is only going to split the enthusiasts and the traders to the benefit of neither. So where are you going? I'm going to give Kelmarsh a go.

Andy

Hi yes i agree what is the point in having two landrover shows within 15 miles of each other on the same weekend i will most likely go to both one saturday and one sunday looks like a busy weekend? still its only once a year then its off to Peterbough in september for the landfest

The issue was caused by LRE booking the event for several years so the 2007 event was booked in principal and then backing out. Billing were then left with a booking and noone to fill it so went to another masg who were more than happy to take over the Billing show.

Yes the billing site has its issues, but its more civilised than my usual camping where we dig a hole to cr@p in.

I think it was actually caused by the old Billing Management wanting more money from LRe, in return for less space and without an improvement in services. Thus LRe moved the venue.
Then Billing was bought out and the new team wanted to retain a large show there, as Billing had already lost a number of shows to Kelmarsh, and approached the other Land Rover mags. LRM said yes.;)

If I go anywhere this year it'll be to Kelmarsh though. Had enough of Billing as a venue and fancy a change.

"The Show at Kelmarsh is cancelled. It would appear that the majority of trade stands who have booked for a July show have chosen to go to Billing and we can't run a show with only a 1/3 of stands that we normally get.

Refunds for those who have already booked for the camping or trade will be processed shortly.

Eastnor for me . Less crowds , plenty of trade stands . Nice area , nice and cheap for a weekend camping ticket and the weather has always been cracking .
Relaxing show .
