Anyone know what spec/size tyres Camel Discos ran/run on?
I understand they had standard height HD springs but bigger tyres with the (in)famous Camel Cut to the rear arches.
Or were they sat on Defender axles?

It really depends what year camel you're refering too. Certainly the early discos ran 7.50/16s and I think the later ones (siberia trophy) ran BFG MTs, but am not sure what size!

Oh and defender and disco axles are the same too!

I thought the early ones ran on 7.50's on standard defender rims. They the went onto standard disco rims, not sure of the tyre sizes.

Later ones, had the fancy alloys on.

I always thought they used 7.00R16 Michelin XCL's on 90/10 rims on the first Camel Disco's, same as on the RR's.
7.50's touch the bodywork without a lift.

They used standard axles and the "camel cut".
As for the tyres:
7.00R16 Michelin XCL on 5.5" x 16" rims up until '95
7.00R16 Michelin XZL O/R on 5.5" x 16" rims in '96
245/75R-16 BF Goodrich MT (some ATs) on LR XS alloys in '97.

Nope, Series axles are narrower though, hence the wheel arch flares on the Defenders - Land Rover kept to the same body width. ;)
