Hi there, I'm currently rebuilding my 110 and I'm replacing the chassis with a galvanised HD one. My question is do I have to stamp the chassis no. onto the new chassis? I'm a bit worried as I will be travelling to India in it so there will be plenty of border crossings where ( I guess) all of the numbers will be checked. However, will it not look a bit more dodgy with a home stamped no. on it than a new chassis without one? Any one out there know whats best?

G-clamp a piece of angle iron or similar to the chassis leg and use this as a guid to line the letter punches up. I would have thought if you are going to have to go through customs and stuff it would be better to have one than not.
