Clutch pedal free play

landy-lovin-Fin

I noticed that there is quite alot of free play on my clutch pedal. I hadnt noticed it before but then again, i do get in it looking for problems.

It had a total clutch replacment about 6 months ago and ita a TD.

Its a bit like the brake pedal on my seies when the brakes went soft.

Is there an ajustment or do i need to bleed it?

i dont think the slave cylinder was changed. I checked the manual and it says there should be 1.5mm play between the push rod and piston and 6mm play at the pedal. i got more like 20-30mm. Will have a look in the morning.

If everything else is ok and you take the plate of in front of the master cylinder you can ajust the free play by screwing the nuts further along the operating shaft ,also
get some one to press the pedal and check for bulges on the flexi hose to the slave ,maybe also needs bled
