Clutch question and part request

Muddy Waters

Shifting Up
Happy new year all.............

I am ordering a new clutch for my landy and there is a choice between the "normal" thrust washer and a self centering one. can anyone explain the difference? What would be best in a SWB series 3?

I also want to put a centre console from a defender in my truck - to make use of the switches and stereo mount. I have heard you have to heat the gearstick and bend it a little to get it into reverse, but i want to give it a go

Anyone got one they want to sell?

many thanks

Get a Timken self centring release bearing.

I'm not sure what you mean about the dash, but if you mean one of the www.mudstuff.co.uk or Iron Goat dashes, then yes, you do need to bend the gear stick back about 3". I have recently done this on my 109 rebuild - it's all on the interior section of my blog.
