Ok, I'm new to this forum, so before I get shot down in flames for asking something that has been asked a thousand times I'm sorry.
Anyway, I'm looking at getting a Defender imminently and although I'm used to 4x4s its a long time since I've been around landies. Series III was the last one I played with at Uni.
I need a Defender for towing and playing as well as doing local road driving and I'm looking to spend £3-6K. I'm trying to find out the differences between the models and wondered what would be the best one to go for. I'm used to a SWB 2.5TD Shogun so would be looking for something comparible in the power stakes. Oh and it has to be 90 as I can't fit a 110 at the back of the house.
Any advice gratefully received and if anyone can advise on a good place to purchase I would be grateful. I've notice Landrover Land in Taunton-Any good?
