Diesel to petrol

G7TZZ

Accelerating Away
Hi all, I'm thinking of changing my tired 19j for the 2.5 petrol. I know the petrol engine will drink more fuel, but I don't do many miles and I can fix a petrol engine myself.
So what are the other for's and against's.
Thanks in advance Jon.

if i could afford to , id go for it.
the petrol is quicker , quieter and smoother. it wont like water as much and can be quite tempremental if not set up properly. i had a 2.25 petrol and when it ran nice it was a joy to drive. when it ran crap it was the most crappiest thing in the world to drive.

If money wasn't as tight I would fit a 200Tdi and let someone else fix it.A V8 would be V nice but a little to juicey. My 2.5TD at 140,000 miles is a bit to tired to fix anymore. Cheers Jon.
