Disappointed, and a little sad.

As mentioned 3 weeks ago [New Avater thread] we took on Jess [in right of avater] as a new addition to our family.
Have her on a month's "trial" as previous owners were not sure they really wanted to re-home her, more needed a break from her.

Alas, the adoption centre contacted us Yesterday saying they have had a change of heart and would like her back :(
A bit pi**ed off at the moment, i was sure they would walk away uninterested.

Put them off til Wednesday, get a couple more days with her.

Not a happy bunny :( :(

I never realised dog ownership came with a 14 day opt out.. Im sorry but if the previous "owners" needed a break then they shouldn't be keeping a dog at all. That makes me angry....

You and me both.
They gave her in for fostering, rather than Rehoming, owing to family problems. Gives them the option of a "change of heart" within a set time, which they have taken.
Our hands are tied, signed an agreement with the adoption centre.

Makes it no easier though.

******!!!!!!!!sdW"2££4%%^%@@@@@********!!!!!!!!...ers!

Sorry to hear this, well unless she got run over ;) (i dont mean that literally) and yo did the decent thing and gave her a good burial..

Busy road yours.....

Cheers

Sorry to hear that Dave :( how about she 'runs away' to a mates for a few days? Complete *******s, what are they going to do, put her up for 'fostering' again when they cant cope again?
We took on a dog which had been returned to her mum's home because the owners didnt like her after a year. She's now brightened up my retired parents' life after their last dog died. She's a sweet gem, and I hope your situation works out for you and her.

Good luck.

That's a real ****** Dave, I know how beguiling JRT's can be. I'm not normally a dog person at all, but a good natured JRT is a real gem. Conker's 'Beth' is absolutely captivating - you must be well choked. :(

Roger.

Ta team. :(
Just been for a 2 hour walk around local golf course with them.
Both run theirselves ragged :)
I'll miss her, but must do the right/honest thing [though it's hard]
Don't know why they put her in foster care, could be a genuine reason and they really do miss their little girl.
Tough call to make.

Bloody hell - how can you get this attached to a dog in just 3 weeks?

As you said Dave, maybe they had a very good reason to opt to foster, and now things may be better and they are able to have her back. Although whatever, you can rest knowing you have done a real good thing.

I feel sorry for you and Jess, I don't understand why someone would give their dog away like that, the only way I can spend so much time away from Beth is knowing she's keeping my mum company. A dog is for life not for when it's convienient.
