Discovery 1 300tdi with defender clocks

Having bother locating the right temperature sensor for this bugger ..
It's black topped but not amr3321
And defo not green topped that just sends the needle off the scale any ideas ?

You want the part number for the defender sender then?
Defender ones are black, Disco are green (IIRC)

300 tdi into 19J temp gauge question.

Whats the deal with running a 300 discovery water temp sensor with a 19j gauge? Proper 300 tdi gauges seem to be a different part number and are not cheap! (if you can get hold of one at all) If the 19j wont work is it just worth fitting an aftermarket one that has actual numbers on making it...

Hi all, Just replaced my broken 300 TDI engine with a Discovery engine, which ran lovely on the way home. The only problem is the water temperature gauge goes off the scale, I'm told that I need to replace the discovery sensor for a Defender one as the gauges are different on the two models...
