Eastnor 2007 - LRW show

Series3200tdi

In Fourth Gear
So now kelmarsh has ceased to be even before it was established :( and the LRO show has bit the dust ( wanted to go to that this year  ), I'm left to question the only other option, other then the billing show (my feelings for which, I will not go into). I'm having trouble finding any info at all on this years LRW show or previous ones, has anyone been to these events, Whats the turnout like, both Landie folk and traders ?. What are the facilities like ?, is the venue very picturesque ?, but most important of all is what are the locals like - how secure is it , if i pitch my tent and stock it well, with beer, will it all be there when I get back from walking around, (not having a pop at a certain Northampton show there Btw) :)

Eastnor is my favourite. It's not like a prison camp where you have to be in by a certain time (I was 10 minutes late arriving at one of the others and had to really kick off before they let me in), the surroundings are lovely and there was no difference in the trade stands than at the other shows.

There could be more toilet and shower facilities, but time it right and it's no real problem.

Security at the camping area is good with a permanent guard at the entrance. I've not experienced or heard of any problems at the camp site after 3 visits.

This year, you have a choice of events, there is LRM Driffield show, which is coming up soon, you have LRM Manby show, you also have Peterborough's Land Rover Fest as well as the LRW show.

LRW Website

It states Eastnor show is on 9th & 10th June 2007 and can book tickets here

The other shows you can find info from here...

Like to go to Billing cause within school hols but with the uncertainly which has gone on make me unlikly to book is there anything else within the school holidays

Will probably go to eastnor again this year but take the caravan rather than day visit. Has a nice atmosphere, lovely setting and isn't too far from home!!

I've been to eastnor since it started 4 years ago, no problems with leaving stuff. Plenty of toilets and showers last year.
Never overcrowded and all in all a much more relaxed atmosphere. Beer tent and entertainment not that good but bring your own.
Off-road course a bit tame but very scenic non the less.
No electric hookups
Most of the major players and clubs will be there and the S1 club have their AGM going on.
Certainly my favourite venue:)

yep, its the fav with my lot, we've booked the weekend camping, and looking forward to it already.....so no doubt there will be some idea how to meet and say allo within this bunch.....

Me and my other half are thinking of going to this show, going to book the weekend camping ticket in the next week or so. If anyone else coming from my area would you like to go down in Convoy? ;)

Does the weekend ticket just cover the saturday night? I was thinking of heading down the friday evening. If it is only saturday then an early start i think.

Hi have been going to eastnor for the last 4 years too.

Amazing show! Have always liked the informal set up where there isn't a set show ground. Would reccomend it to anyone. I shall be there this year and have my landy on the series 2 club stand.

Toilets are good and there is showers too. Beer is a bit expensive i reccomend bringing your own. hopefully we should have the weather like the past few years and it'll be wonderfull.
