Ebay searching Landrover or Land Rover

I am listing lots of stuff on ebay, including a fair bit of Landy bits.

When you search on ebay do you type Landrover or Land Rover?

I want to save space so I can fit Discovery, Range Rover, Defender and Series in the title on some items.

Thanks.

I type in Land Rover, surely it's easier to type the other words in the description somewhere as most people I know check titles and description when searching:confused:

Land Rover.

However, you may wish to have a look at Tazbar or Ebid - both of which won't charge you a listing fee, and have very reasonable final value fees. Free to join. Also, as they are both fairly new, you won't have a lot of competition!!

I have looked at these sites, as you say, they are fairly new so not a lot of competition and therefore not a lot of punters/bidders.

I know ebay has it's problems, I have been stung about 3 times out of over 600 transactions, something you can/have to live with.

I am looking at extending my business into selling more items on ebay, you cannot deny that ebay gets a tremendous amount of viewers. I am currently selling a wood stove, over 653 views and currently 65 watchers, where else could you get that level of exposure?

Try ebid.

They have only just launched their rest of the world service.

My suppliers and dropshippers are no heavily pushing ebid as, at present, their fraud prevention is slightly better.

I'm launching my music shop on there in the next couple of weeks, probably won't bother to touch eBay because of the con artists.

In the run up to Christmas I had over £4000 of fraudelent purchases of Mobiles, luckily for me I caught every one.

I search for both Land Rover and Landrover .

Just wondering how the security on these new auction sites is different to ebay ?. I certainly agree that ebay has problems with fraudsters , but surely they'll just find a way round these new sites ?

eBid seem to have an active search against the word Nigeria, world pay etc.

If you get a mail through their system with these words they send a mail saying basicaly "steer clear, watch your back"

At the moment eBid is small fry compared to eBay but it has helped them to be able to review all that is wrong with eBay model and try to find or develop technologys that will help them elimininate all the it is wrong with eBay

Nigeria certainly seems to be the con man capital of the world . Also a very religious country i am told ? Hmm  .

I'll certainly give those sites a look , but if i start bidding i'll be zero rated and back to the start again ?. Surely a lot of the sellers are also zero or low rated and this will impact buyer confidence ?.

If I want to be sure to catch everything I use this...

("land rover", landrover, defender)

The brackets mean any one of them and the quotes mean the exact phrase. If you wanted rangie things just put "range rover" and rangerover inside the brackets.

Having said that I find most people use land rover.

True. My Tazbar feedback is, er, zero. My Ebid feedback is, er, zero. However, like a few other sellers, I have included a link to my Ebay feedback (407:eek:) on items I'm selling. Because these sites are still fairly new, everyone is in pretty much the same boat regarding seller/buyer confidence.
I'm no longer listing anything on Ebay because of their fees. With the other two it's no sale, no fee, and you're able to just keep relisting without being charged. Nothing to stop you listing the same item on all three (as long as you keep a weather eye on it and pull it off the other two rapidly if you get a bid.

If I'm after something in particular I'll search for it on Ebid and Tazbar first before using Ebay as a last resort.
