My friend has a IIa with a Peugot N/A engine and, from his description, it doesn't seem to pull much better than the standard 2.25 diesel.
The M55 motorway is pretty flat, if anyone knows it, it runs out on the Fylde peninsula. Steve has to change down a gear for the "uphill" sections!
He's bought himself an electric turbo: it's just a 35 amp blower that cuts in when he depresses the fuel pedal hard. He's pleased: he can now drive the length of the M55 without having to drop out of fourth!
Does anyone else have any experience of these things? Will Steve blow up his engine? (Sound to me like it might not be such a bad thing.)
