Engine/gearbox mount removal

tagnut69

In Fourth Gear
After looking at the mounts for the engine and gear box as suggested for another problem, I am going to replace them, they look as old as the truck they are on and proberbly wernt changed with the galvanised chassis, many moons ago.

So is it an easy job and do I need an engine hoist or wil a trolly jack do just to lift it where I need to and slide out the old and pop in the new ones.

Should I go for rubber original type or the new poly jobbies

Thanks in advance

Chris

Yes easy job and a trolley jack will do fine.

Didn't know that poly type were available, but on suspension polys Blue is claimed by the manufacturer to be equivalent to rubber.
