Exmoor trim forward facing seats - Seatbelt question

90county

Shifting Up
Has anyone fitted the forward facing fold up seats from Exmoor Trim with retractable lap belts? If so can anyone give some pointers as to where the belts should be fitted?

Thanks

Stefan

I have them in my 109. The set up shown in their ad is, in my opinion, dangerous as the shoulder anchor is far too low. It would result in spinal torsion injuries in an accident and very limited upper restraint.

To rectify the problem, I used SIII front seat bely lower anchors mounted inverted inside the gutter rail.

All the details and photos are on the " interior" section of my blog.

Snagger,

Thanks, I did look at your site earlier and noted your concerns on the anchor height.

I have a pair of new Securon retractable lap belts and thought about using those instead of 3 or 4 point belts, but I can't work out where to fit them. If the retractable part is mounted to the wheel arch box it would surely foul the seat when folded up out of the way, and I can't see that it could be mounted to the floor and the stalk part to the wheel arch box!
