Fairey Free Hub spares

DervMan

Shifting Up
I've contacted the usual suspects but does anyone here know where I can get RTC7132 it's the Actuator Assembley for the Fairey Free Wheel Hub?

Forgive my confusion but do you mean the Fairey "dome" type cast aluminium hubs?

Its just running in my mind that I've heard the Superwinch ones referred to as Fairey hubs too. I have a pair of the Superwinch ones lying about, one knackered and one good. If it was that type you needed you could have those if you want.

If its the domed aluminium type where you turn the whole cap I can't help. I've got that kind on my swb but have no spares for them.

Aye, its the domed type, with the nylock fixing strip. Not the same as superwinch ones at all, I dont think. They look like the warn ones, with the turny bit in the middle dont they? (there's technical now...'turny bit':D )

Is this the one??

I was getting mixed up with the Fairey company later becoming known as Superwinch. Or so the overdrive manual says.

It does say that right enough, but I think the superwinch hubs were like the ones Mungo posted up. I know that people have been looking for the service kits for these Fairey hubs for a long time, and they are simply non existant. That was why I took them off our III, and fitted the WARN ones instead...we stripped one set a few years ago, and got the passenger side off fine, but the nyloc strip was broken in the passenger side, and the only way to get the thing off was to use the grinder. (should have saved the bits, shouldnt I?)
