Accelerating Away
Hi All,

I have a friend who is using ISDN (not broadband) and he is having trouble sending picture and other files as he says they are sent in fragments?

Has anyone seen this or resolved it?

He is using outlook 6 to send in XP and it is leading to e-mails being rejected by some anti virus

Any help welcomed as always many thanks forum

What ISP is he using and does he have any accelerator running eg Onspeed, or other form of proxy server?

I'm on 28k dial-up and I don't have this problem, although large attachments do take ages!!!

From time to time Onspeed can mess things up and I find temporarily switching it off resolves it. Some larger companies seem to have Onspeed listed as spam so email gets blocked because of that.

And/or what about compressing the attachments in WinZip or similar?

Many thanks for this info - I know he was with Telewest but moved back to BT due to problems - not sure about Onspeed will check
