Help! Front Prop Shaft part no. FRC8386 for a 1994 110 CSW 300Tdi R380 G.Box etc., which way round does the front prop shaft fit? Haynes Manual says sliding joint end towards axle but official Parts manual suggests otherway round towards transfer box flange, which was how I found it. Any ideas please.

Many thanks Mike. I can get moving again now as Land Rovers should. Somehow it just didn't feel right the statement in Haynes. I suppose they have to cover a vast ranhge of years?:)

Maybe Haynes just did what I did  Carried on as if it was a series vehicle. Yep the series should have the prop the other way round :D

:) :) Many thanks to all who replied to my request. As this was my first visit to the Forum and still learning how to use electronic mail etc., I am particularly impressed by the kind respsonses. I have been 'playing Land Rovers' since 1972, my first and still got it, a 1969 series 2A SWB.
Once again thank you all and I hope I can return the help someday. Incidentally prop shaft now fitted correctly.:) ;) :)

Just refitted one. Slide towards transfer box because dirt and water come from the front of the car...... ;)
