Garage door help

Andrew Swift

Trekker
I am hoping someone on here can help, I have a Wessex electric double up and over door with a wessex lift boy motor.

Recently because of the winds I had to take the safety cutout sensor off the motor. Due to the winds today I fastened the door down, a fob has been pressed and the motor has been trying to lift the door! The fuse has not blown and the motor makes a whiring sound but will not move the mechanism to open the garage door. I am sure there was a cut out on the motor to stop it overheating, any ideas please?

Thanks
Andrew

Thanks for the advise, I had a look at it this morning and due to the door being fastened down it had thrown the belt off the pulley between the motor and the mechanism to lift the door. All working again even though I got an electric shock after switching the power back on and "just rechecking it".

And no, I cannot get the 90 in, it has a lift on it although I can get the Lightweight in - just.

you can get your landy in the garage....I'm impressed.. wish i could do the same with mine...................keith
7ft high garage doors are not too common. My current door is 7ft high and the Landy gets in no problem. We're moving within the next week (fingers crossed) and the double door is only 6'6" high which is too low. When we were looking for a new house we didn't come accross any that were over 6'6" high or over. :(

That'll be the Landy living outside for the next couple of years!
