UK Green lanes in somerset

Shifting Up
Does anyone know where I can get some info about greenlanes or rupp's that I can use in and around somerset?

RUPP's no longer exist, as they were replaced by Restricted Byways, which have NO vehicular rights, following the passing of the NERC Act.
 
Try an ordnance survey map, and then phone the Rights of Way officer at Somerset County Council in Taunton; unless they've changed personnel in the last few years he's a very helpful chap, happy for people to drive them.
Having said that, there are ****** all driveable lanes in Somerset and what there are, are short sections chopped up by some daft boundaries. Good luck though - could be worth looking at Dorset, Wiltshire & North Devon, depending where in Somerset you are.

I once went over an OS map of Somerset with a highlighter, and ended up with lots of uselss short bits of lane. Worth driving though just to keep them open, if you as bloody minded as me :D
 
According to the SCC website, there are currently 9 BOATs in Somerset:
  • Priddy - Charterhouse / Nordrach
  • Priddy - Dursdon Drove
  • Lydeard St Lawrence - Sandings Lane
  • Wookey - by the church
  • Creech St Michael - by the canal
  • Chilcompton - Stock Hill
  • Maperton - between Lower and Higher Clapton Farm
  • Barrington - Denman's Lane
  • St Cuthbert Out - Old Road, West Horrington
