Can I assume then that Germany has no responsible limit for laning?:eek:

not by the looks of it,

can i se 10 vehicles there 9 in a line and 1 hiding behind the trees or is it my eyes playing up

Of course they won't! They don't have people who cry over the slightest sight of a tread pattern on a soft surface, and they don't have a government that keels over at the slight thought that they will loose a handful of votes because they upset some countryside anti-activists.

No but I do find that other european countries tend to repair / upgrade their transport systems in order to accommodate traffic volumes unlike the UK where the solution seems to be to do what ever you can to reduce traffic volume.

If you look at the pic 6 of the vehicles are on hard standing so maybe their not all setting off at the same time.

Hardly. But what we're having is the ability to drive solid lanes removed from us by protests from the RA largely.

All the greenlanes in my area are solid-based, simply because we're on the Pennines so it's mostly rock. Yet the majority of these were lost when NERC came into act. A prime example of the exaggerated situation I gave in an earlier post.

Ahh but that's a seperate issue from a responsible limit on the number of vehicles in a group. Even on solid based lanes too many vehicle in a group can cause problems for other users, even if they don't actualy cause damage.
 
Yes. It probably wasn't clear, but my main point with what I said was how Labour goes about the matters involving greenlaning. As far as I'm aware, in other European countries they don't go protesting to stop vehicular usage completely and as far as I'm aware the governments (if there were protests) wouldn't pay a lot of attention let alone do anything. Yet ours does. :rolleyes:

I believe, and unless I'm mistaken, that the recommended vehicles in a group came about largely to reduce complaints and give less ammunition to the RA. Simple as that.
 
Talking of the RA, didn't I hear somewhere that the blessed Janet - Janet Street-Porter - had been arrested? For racial remarks or threatening behavior or something? :D

i think there appears to be more hidding in the trees....

Cant really coment on what is responsable over there, dont know the political situation regarding vehicle access to the country........ ANy german members wish to inform us?????
