Having spent the day on a private estate in the Highlands sorting out routes for some exclusive photo expeditions I though I'd make a few of you city dwellers drool a bit. :D

You've been hard at work again....:) Good photos.. I like the centre one, with the framework of trees. Those new spots look the business, dont they? I'm going to have to alter your avatar pic!

That was a lazy wind whistling through there today Keith ( I was a few miles south of where you were today). So lazy it didnt go round you, it went straight through!

I wish you'd stop doing this Keith! We know what you do and where you do and in what - its just that those of us 'darn sarf' don't want to be reminded! :D

(I say it every time, but the 101 is a handsome beast, isn't it?)

Roger.

Keith, you are a very lucky man.

Off to look for entries in the yellow pages for "assassination services for jealous ba******" ;)

Seriously, you have got the benefit of fantastic scenery on your doorstep which YOU, you lucky b@@@@r get to call your office.

For safety reasons you really shouldn't go on trips like that on your own. An escort of 2-3 other landrovers would be suitable cover. I'd offer to help you out if I wasn't so far south, perhaps others could be persuaded. :)

Baz, you'll just have to sell up and move. :D

Actually you raise a serious point Baz. When I'm going out to check new routes and locations I generally take someone in the truck with me. I always walk any new track and check the ground before I drive it - however the tracks you see n the photos are regularly used by the estate vehicles and all I have to do is check that my 101 will fit through any gates etc. and that there is somewhere to turn around.

On the estate in question there is a 'lone working practice'. Foresters and estate workers (me included on this occasion) take out a radio and have to let the 'control' know where they are and also radio in every two hours.

I'd ask if they would mind if I take half a dozen or so other Land Rovers with me on my trips, but I think I know what the answer will be. :D
