Mine's up for renewal in about two weeks... just seeing if I can beat Elephant.co.uk's renewal premium.

Anyone recommend a Landy/4X4 insurer?

used to be with footman james with the classic 2a shopped about when i had the td5 and had a great quote from churchill £245 fully comp protected...just swapped it over to the freebie - no extra charge but supprise supprise....no refund lol

guess it depends on what cover you have and what you want to do...i'm excluded from off roading with churchill but realistically over the last few years i ain't done much anyway.

when my renewal is due i sit at the computer on a weekend and waste an afternoon comparing online quotes...it's deffo worth doing and moving around if you can be arsed to put the work in.

Thanks for that. Just tried Churchill - they come out at £200 more than my renewal. Confused.com's pretty good - multiple results from tapping your details in once.

I just got a guote from Adrian FLux, which in my case workded out better than my previous company, they have a 4x4 dept and dont mind mods if you have any...

Cheers

Thanks for the info all... I've just taken out a comprehensive policy via Sureterm - Norwich Union 4X4 policy which includes greenlaning cover. Saved £70 (£451 to £380).

How much :O Im paying like £190... but its a 3k limited milage policy!

£190? Sounds like what I had with classic cover for an '86 truck cab - couldn't build up NCB so that's kind of screwed me this time around. This quote's based on a £6k Freebie, 12k miles PA, missus who had a crash in 2005 etc. :itwasntme

ahh yes, mines on a classic thing as its my second motor! Daily hack is umm kinda stuffed at the moment. Only drive it when going out on the lash and need to leave it in town over night.. Its still there every morning though :(

I pay 210 pounds fully comp, protected no claims for me and the misses. That is with privilege. I have been with them for several years and they have been really good.
