That's a Peel Trident.

TBH, I'd love to have one. You' wouldn't really be able tot use it. But it would be fun to take to Vintage rallies and alike.

Its got knobbly tyres...lets offroad!

My mum used to rally a 3 wheel Meshersmitt in the 60s. She eventually got hit by a van and it took 2 hours to cut her out, left leg never the same since.

i worked at rover spares of dalkeith for 17 years on p5 p6 and sd1 sd1 would fall to bits going down the road, it was fun though, had to keep stoping to pick up bits that fell off:D but that v8 was what made it worth the trouble. getting in was funny to as door would open but door card stays shut  my job with rover spares was to restore the cars and make them better than thay were when thay left the factory. a fully sorted sd1 wasnt to bad when every thing was put right. building v8 engines was what i loved most .

anything 70's BL was very uninspiring!

I think for the times if you look at what everyone else was doing BL were forging ahead/
everyone laughs at the wedge but look at it carefully and see how much room and thought went into the design.
Lack of investment.government support and the unions were there worst enemies.

Absolutely Right!
What with Red Robbo, Labour Party measured day work, plus all the other usual work to rules, Labour Party interference "bull crap"', the B/L Car Divs could'nt make a profit. Even if they wanted to!
Talk about uncompetitive business plans!
When it took the Germans 18 man hours to produce a Cortina and the Brit car business could only muster 44 hours best for the same thing there had to be something wrong!
AND that included the "One Leg Crow" called Allegro! Remember that piece of crap!
Then that junk on wheels called the Marina. Given to Hyundai they turned it into a world beater called the Pony---Bucking all expectations (excuse the pun) taking the US import small car market by storm!

At the time I heard an oft statement at B/L International in Berkeley Sq (another chocolate box edifice of collosal waste-- with Saville Row, overpaid besuited goons seperating the factories from their customers) The comment was often overheard Quote: Nothing makes a profit south of Crewe. If it wasn't for the Truck & Bus Div we would be sunk! Unquote.

And the "Nightingale sang in Berkely Sq!:D:D:D:D"!
Just fir th record who sung that???
Lasted longer even than a B/L Minor Traveller woody!
:D
