hi all

and sandy

i tryed fixing my fuel gauge with no luck but then my light switch f#x*#d up and now my side and rear light won't go out , i have swaped the wires around with on luck could it be the switch.

I just had a look at your other thread... Did your temp gauge work? It shares the same stabiliser, so if one gauge works and one dont, it would be the gauge, or the sender.

It could be the switch at fault... Hard to say. I have attached a diagram of the dash wiring, what colour goes where. That might help. Picture speaks a thousand words and all that...One overall pic, and one a bit more detail

I guess we should be thankful for diesel engines...less electrickery to go around!

Wiring has a hard time of it though, when you think about it. Oil, dirt, heat, damp, chafing, vibration, friction...(not to mention the 'twist it and forget it' kind of home mechanics...should be hung!) not the ideal surroundings for electrickery is it?
