The owner is an expert on the route and a great contact if you're into off-roading in Wales generally. If you do decide to camp in the 'wild' just be careful where you pitch your tent - a lot of those who overnight in these parts don't understand the subtleties of using a shovel or a trowel when answering the call of nature. Our dogs often eat the bloody stuff, other locals, whose dogs roll have worse experiences. Quite why people think it is OK to crap on the surface and leave it there, I don't understand. So - be careful!
