How Do I? Mounting Driving Lamps on Disco

I've searched the forums and can't find anything to help. Looking at the Landrover fixing instructions for the brackets, they show removal of the plastic centre part of front bumper.

Firstly, how does this come off? Secondly, don't really faancy the look of the front without it, so would like to refit it after mounting the brackets if poss, any ideas?

My thought was to make 2 large spacers to fit between plastic and bumper, and bolt brackets through plastic, spacers, and finally bumper. Is this feasable?

look up behind the bumper and if it isn't full of crud you will see 2 plastic lugs poking through with what look loke washers on. The washers are actually the clips that hold the plastic bit to the bumper. Prise them off with a screwdriver and the plastic bit will pull off. Alternatively, there may be 2 screws instead of the lugs.
I did as you suggest as regards the spacers except I used washers instead. the lights wobbled a bit but not too bad
