Multi Function Unit

Accelerating Away
On a 95 D1, does anyone know what the Multi Function Unit controls, this is plugged into the back side of the main fuse panel?

Thanks in advance, Carl.....=o&o>.....

It controls lots of things hence the name:D

Seriously though do you need an exact list as it covers amoungst other things: (Depending on market)
  • Dim dip
  • wash wipe
  • interior light delay
  • electric windows
  • heated windows
  • headlight wash
Just an example. It doesn't drive these things directly but has a bearing on when/how they work.

Everything electrical on the US version D1 works, just no power to the brake light switch and the brake lights don't work.
With parking lights on if I jumper to the brake light strip on the back of the taillight lens all brake lights will go on.

Is there a green/purple wire on your brake light switch? If so then do the brake lights come on if you apply a 12v power to this wire?
If this works then there is a break in connection between the brake switch feed (green/orange) and the fuse (No.1 fascia fuse box).
Shouldn't be too hard to trace if this is the fault as only a short cable run.
