New Bonnet for my SIII

Soulcatcher

In Fourth Gear
Im think of getting a new bonnet for my SIII one where i can put the spare wheel on.
i was just wondering how much should i expect to pay and the best place to get a good one from. ( Im from Doncaster South Yorkshire )

The reason im wanting a new one also is that the bonnet doesnt fit right there is about a 1" gap round the wings
So any help would be grateful :)

I have just fitted a new (secondhand) bonnet to my series 3 and I have created a 1 inch gap all the way around!!!

The previous bonnet was a defender one with a defender front panel too.

I think that the gap is caused by the bonnet catch not going down enough - even though it catches fully on the bonnet catch plate, maybe the spring to too springy or stiff?

I would like to know how to rid myself of the 1 inch gap - its not catching on any parts inside the engine - so that it looks right.

Any further advice?

I bought the bonnet from ebay from 99p so it was a bargain and not too rusty.

I suppose that I could go back to the defender bonnet and front panel look but I want my series 3 to look like it should!!
