Paddocks are rubbish!

My exhaust snapped off on one of the intermediate silencers flanges so i bought a rear tail pipe and intermediate silencer from them on the 28th of december, paying for express delivery!

Wonder on the 4th of January why nothing had turned up. Their excuse is that the online order didnt get printed when they turned up for work on the 2nd. Fair one! Although before they figured that one out they did think "I" had made a mistake! I asked for it to be overnighted to me for today free of charge! Of course they said:)

No one was home so i travel to aylesbury to pick it up. Get there and only the rear tailpipe has been delivered:(

Get home and check my account and they have charged me for the express delivery for a package which turned up two day's late and incomplete:confused: Tits! I needed it so i could fit it tonight (Working all hours of the day and saturday) ready for my trip down to southampton on sunday and plymouth on wednesday:( Im going to be deaf!!!!

They're getting a rollocking tomorrow:D
Oh and they're also getting no more of my business (A couple of hundred quid every couple of months:rolleyes:)

cheers

Disagree - Paddocks are good, staff are very helpful but then again I do go to their counter as a pose to ordering stuff online.

Im going to be deaf!!!!

I thought that was one of the pleasures of a diesel Land Rover? :D

I've personally not had any issues with Paddocks. Sometimes when they have been out of stock they highlight it on the order form and send the item out when they have it in stock again.

I ordered a CV joint on the 22nd Dec at 4.30pm and received it 11.30 the next day. That aint bad for the christmas period.

They where closed between Christmas and New year, so probably had loads of orders to deal with on the 2nd.

Strangely i really don't care if they had a lot on...i paid for it to get to me quickly and they admitted fault:) Usually i'm not overly bothered if something goes wrong with an order..i guess its just one of those things. This time i quite fancied them getting it right (It can't be rocket science reading an order form and putting something in a box with an address on it can it:confused:) as i was working to time constraints:rolleyes:

Aj, im in Plymouth from Wednesday afternoon, probably driving back to Soton on Thursday afternoon. Depending very much on the state im in (best mates 20th):D

Cheers for that lighting90. Its great for future reference! I'll be on the phone to Paddocks at 8:30 tomorrow morning getting them to ship it to southampton for monday! Fit it monday or tuesday and be done with it:)

cheers
Adam

Ha ha!

Yeah would have been good to meet up. I might be down a few more times in the next couple of months to visit mates and on a few surfing trips:) Probably on the weekends:rolleyes:

The south coast is where its at:D:D

Spoke to them today. They told me my last transaction was in november from my southampton address. I quickly informed them that they had sent out an incomplete order and charged me for it 2 days ago. They went "ummmmmm did we?? We don't have any record of it" :D:D Lol...bunch of numpty's

I went Grrrrrrr

They went "we'll send it to you in southampton for tuesday". Not perfect but sod em they sorted it out:)

I place one order a month with them and it's always over a grand's worth of parts.

It only takes them a week to get the stuff from the UK to SA using the Post Office - and that is very good.

I can't fault them.

Paddocks have proved to be very reliable so far. Been using them 7 years, no problems. I think, if you order anything during the Christmas period, you have got to accept that the delivery companies are going to be under pressure to get parcels from A to B within time constraints. With the increase in Internet orders, they must have been very busy this year.

Fair one....all im stating is my experiance! Got all the bits i need now but because they were late i havent had the time or tools to fix em (as im down in soton)....so im going to splash out on some tool websites now:D

Been told twice ill get a refund for postage....clear in a couple of days...blah blah. Only 5 quid but the principle dam it:)???

Ive bought a few times before off Paddocks and cant say I can fault them. Reasonable prices and shipped on time I bought a new late type door for my defender ordered on 26th dec and it arrived 3rd jan due to the couriers being on holiday
