Hi I’m in need of a 28inch rear prop shaft for a 1986 defender 90 300tdi - any1 got 1 for sale or know where I can buy 1 from. Any help or advise would help! Been told I need (frc8385) but is there anything else that would fit as I can’t find it online. Thanks

Providing you have a standard rover type rear axle and an R380/LT230 gearbox in their correct positions then you need a rear propshaft from a post 1994 Defender 90 (300tdi) and that should be FRC8393 It is also the same used on the TD5 Defender 90 so you might be able to find one second hand.

You might be better off getting a new one that's got new uj's on it.
It's not hard to put new universal joints onto a second hand prop. but if you've not got the kit......i.e a big vice.....then you will struggle.

What was the original engine, gearbox and transfer case, frc8385 is listed as V8 90 1985. As yours is a conversion is it converted to 300tdi spec or custom?
