Range rover axles and running gear

Shifting Up
Is there any advantage to having range rover axles on a defender? I have heard that they are better although not sure what advantages they would bring if any?

Cheers

Mike

range rover axles have a higher ratio don't they? so you will see a better top speed (in theory) and your acceleration will worsen slightly, altohugh this might not be the case if you can hold gears longer and not have to keep shifting gear.

No, the same. If you have disks fitted on the back theres no point changing them, also if you have Disks fitted not you have 24 spline diffs and shafts, RR tend to have 10 spline, but for the last of them.
