Which type of rubber have you fitted.
A solid one or one with a rubber insert?
Remove the insert and push the window out.
OR cut the rubber and fit a new rubber.
To fit.
Swarfega.All over the place.That's your lubrication.
Now fit the glass into the rubber with everything on the outside.
Wrap a length of string,I prefer electrical wire plastic coated,around the rubber in the grove that's going to fit into the metal window surround.
Get a helper,gloves fitted please,to hold the glass up the opening and gently push the glass into place.Now as the glass is pushed you pull the string to fit the rubber to the hole.
THEN...
You have the insert to fit.
Again plenty Swarfegs.
You can buy a proper tool to fit the insert.
Never had the opertunity to try that tool as nowhere I've worked has had one !!!.
I use a dumpty screwdriver.
Just work the insert into the rubber ....
Don't use gritty Swarfega
