removing the self leveling unit

In Fourth Gear
i understand i can get away or dont need it so much on abobtail range rover, but how is it removed ??? its bolted to the chassis at top but do i just have to cut it off at ball joint with angle grinder, cause im sure i need to keep the a frame, or am i wrong, i could ask the wife she never is,!!!!!

The lower ball joint is part of the bracket that has the 2 bolts for the A frame arms and the ball joint on the diff casing.

If the vehicle isn't being used on a Public road and hence needing an MOT Test, unscrew the SLU rod from the ball. If you require an MOT, grind the ball joint off the bracket.

If the SLU is fitted from new it should be there for MOT Testing and a ball joint with something missing, is an indicator that something has been removed, so RFR.
