Servicing Of Evoque

Linkd

In Second Gear
Hey guys,
I am a owner if a 2016 evoque. First time I am thinking to do a service out of showroom. As it’s expensive and my car is running fine and I would say in this lock down, it’s not running much.

do you suggest is it ideal to service and MoT outside the showroom?

Cheers,

Personally, with a car that is still relatively new I would keep it 'in house' with a Land Rover dealer. It will give you a stronger portfolio when you come to sell if it has a dealer servicing record. Also, I don't know if you have any kind of extended warrenty, but if you have, this may be affected by having the car serviced with a non dealer.
On the other hand, if that's not a problem for you then maybe save a few bob getting yer local man to do it.

Having seen LR dodging out of their crankshaft failures by saying the vehicle wasnt serviced on time, and in house, I think I would grin and bear it, then if it goes wrong you have comeback.

If the service is mileage related, then it needs done, but if its just an MOT, then you still have six months even if its due right now, due to the covid thing, Check your mot status on the gov/dvla website. That takes the pressure off getting it done a bit.
