i'm buying some coopers stt's and going for the 285/75/16. now i lready have 265/75/16 on black mods, will these wider tyres fit...i know i should have asked Craddocks when enquiring about them but me forgot.....ADA

Well according to that article LRO ran last month, 285/75/16 will need mods.. But im sure someone else here will have slightly better knowledge :P

As Paul said.
You will get them on a standard 16 x 7 inch rim mod, but technicially it is too narrow !
Need's to be a 16 x 8 inch.

Is there a wider replacement that would fit on a standard boost alloy?

Got 235/85-16s on there at the mo, and about to change to Mud Terrains. Do I have to stick with the standard, or can I fit a wider one without any problems?

Sorry if it's a stupid question..I try to remain consistent :D

Just incase anybody is interested I ran the figures for 235/85-16 tyres and 265/75-16s through the excellent calculator as pointed out by Shox Dr earlier and results were as follows:

Circumference difference between the two tyres: -6.29mm
Percentage circumference difference: -0.25%

So at 70mph speedo would read 69.83mph.

Not much difference really! Thanks for the advice guys

tis good that, if i was to fit the wider tyre, while me speedo says 70, i would actually be doing 73.....still gonna find out about the rims tho..
