I have a nice set of those but I don't know if they are SWB or LWB ones, Is there anywhere you can get the nuts and bolts to hold the two halves together nowadays?

they are the correct military split rim type according to James Taylor's series 1 book.

As far as i can remember they have all ways been on our S1, but I'm starting to wonder. Does the champ and the LR have the same stud patern?

Yes. The Champ and the LR share the same PSD. The Gypsy also.

They were "Coach Bolts" and are still available.

Split Rims are in use for Armor tyres.We used them in Chad, Oman and Somalia where a round through a tire meant very serious hassle.
The Brits used them in NI and still do I believe in Iraq and the Ghan.

I swapped some from a 1944 Willys MB's rims and they fit very nicely. I then sought out Replacements for the Willys and they were crazy in price. I'll have to see if I can find a substitute carriage bolt somewhere else in bulk.
