tapping noise under front

Shifting Up
hi guys, new member, just wanted to ask if anyone could help me, i have a 99 hard top 1.8 petrol. had a clutch done a whille ago and when the belly pan was removed to have a look under, i noticed a rattly tapping sound when driving, like something wasnst tightened back up. its doesnt get loud but it gets worse over bumpy roads, just really irratating, machanic said he would have a look when new gearbox goes in next week but anyone had this before, i feel it under my feet and the wife under hers in the passenger side. thanks

Could be the bumper. There are little plastic brackets that screw onto the underpan. If it's not back on, they might rattle.

under pan is now on mate, but the mechanic said it is on right, but i dont really trust him, anyway for me to check myself?
just really irratating me and the wife, she loves the jeep but it gets me down when i have to drive it like this.

Check for the 2 bolts in the rear pan, they screw under the subframe. Check the exhaust mountings, near the subframe. Clout the Cat with your hand, see if the Monolith ( the brick inside it) is loose.
