TD5 alarm

Nick T

Overdrive!
Wiered, normally when alarm activted the indicators blink once and interior light dimms quickly, not tonight???? Light dimmed but no flashing indicators?

Is sumfink wrong????

Thanks, Nick.

PS since I fit a new air flow meter, the motor is bloody marvelous...Really changed my mind about the TD5:D:D:D:D

Battery dying in your key fob, just happened to me. Both my fobs were tatty so I replaced the casings at same time with kits off fleabay.

Thanks,I'll try that. But if the alarm has recieved a signal from the fob and is activated, how does it reccognize a flat battery?

It's probably not so much a case of it "recognising" a flat battery; I expect the fob can detect the voltage of the battery inside it, and sends the voltage to the car along with all the authentication stuff when you unlock/lock. If the car receives a voltage amount that is less than X then it doesn't flash the lights.
