TD5 Rev Counter/Clock

I want to put a rev counrt in my 90 - no issues there with the available kits from people like Croytec, but i still need a clock.
In the TD5 there is rectangular blanking plate below the stereo in the centre dash console which i would have thought would be ideal.

Has anyone seen a kit for this anywhere or am i gonna have to get all creative again (Bad idea!)

Yup it should fit there with no worries. I don't have a TD5, but I do have 3 guages there in my TDI. Like you I added a rev guage and still needed a clock so found a company on ebay that sold pre-cut plates to fit in that spot under the dash. I will find you a picture now.
 
I was thinking the same thing as you jum649. I've had the stero out of mine, and there looks to be plenty of space for the clock. let me know how you get on.
 
I think what i will need is a fairly long and thin rectanguler clock - probably digital i guess - and i should be able to flusg mount it. Is this recess designed for a CB or something?
 
hows the rev counter wired up on the tdi?..is it of the altenator?..
just that i also want to fit one next to the speedo..
