Cheers

£46.50 + VAT for the tensioner.

Ugg, but at least i know its good for the next 25 or so years :) Getting a new master cylinder for my clutch while im at it!

Ok now im stuck.. Ordered a new part from Blanchards an it turned up 6:30 this mornig, rusult. Its different from the part i took off. I assume mines been fettled. Anyone got any suggestions?

And do i send it back ? Bit peeved cos i sent the guy there a photo of what I wanted, he mentioned the bracket on mine had been extended but thats it!

The on i have has been extended to run on the back of the belt, nw on is for the front. I can maye it work but ill have to modify the bottom hose on the rad!

Don't understand why yours has been modified:confused:

It's only when looking at the two together (with glasses on:eek: ) that I can see what looks like an extension that has been welded on your old one.

How good are you with a welder? or is it easier to modify the hose?

Can't see you getting a lot of joy out of them if yours has been modified and they have sent you the correct bit.

Why not use your old bracket? Looks all right in the pic, and assume it's the other bit you really needed and they have sent you the complete original bit.

So that's why you were in the LRUK earlier?? Suppose I owe you a Fosters to drown your sorrows. ... Have you tried Cooper's Ale?;)

I can interchange the bracket, my problem is that the part i took off was flat and ran on the back of the belt pulling it up out of the way of hoses etc.

The new part is grooved to run on the toothed part of the belt. It will go on but pushes the belt out further onto the lower cooling hose!

I believe the reason its been modified is that it has a massive fan belt on it and has had a second alternator fitted (12v). Oww my head :)

Yes i was grabing a can in the pub earlier.. Just life in general getting me down a lite, for once work is well, other than that....

I can't promise anything but I have a complete spare MOD engine & shed full of MOD parts, I'll see what I have in the morning, I'm sure there was one of them in the spares pile.

OK, now I've discovered from the other thread that yours has been messed with, the only one I could find is the same as you have been sent.
