Thread size?

Does anyone know the thread size of the bolts that are used to secure the wheel on a bonnet mount wheel carrier.

Lost mine when i went round a roundabout with them on the sill

PS. If you want to see the ultimate in spray on mud go to startstone land rover in Newport Pagnell. Went in their looking at a new defender. Couldnt help but take the **** Maybe thats why they wouldnt let me test drive one Grrrr

The thread is the same as the wheel nut/stud on a SIII. BSF I think, and I would imagine they are the same on a defender.

Yup, all wheel nuts on landys are the same thread as far as I know. 101 is probably different though!

Yes but you'll not be wanting to know the price
Those two bolts are very special. They are 12mm dia x 1.5mm pitch BUT the head size is the same as a wheel nut. So that you can use the wheelbrace to undo them !!

I bought mine a few years ago to hold my Hi-Lift to the front bumper.
At least six quid each.

You could of course get two 12mm bolts and carry a 19mm socket as well.
