Timing Belt For Freelander

Accelerating Away
my landrover specialist wants £500 to change the timing belts on my 20Lxedi which i think is a rip off he said the engin has to cum out . How much should it realy be

I paid less than £200 for mine to be done.
I think "officially" the engine has to be lifted and all the drive shafts, etc on that side have to be removed, but my local garage, not an LR specialist, worked out that it could all be done by undoing 1o engine mount and tipping it up a bit.
Try asking Templar, I'm sure he knows a way!!

As Graham says, let the engine move to the left.

A bit of a job, but can be done in situ. Easier on the cars.
